Here's a little bit about me! Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, I am now a proud resident of Richmond, Texas. Alongside my academic pursuits, I am also the proud owner of two adorable pups, Scrap and ZuZu.
Beyond the classroom, my professional journey includes hands-on experience in professional communications and news production. This dual proficiency has equipped me with a skill set that blends creativity with a commitment to delivering compelling, trustworthy news.
Much of my inspiration is rooted in my faith and my service to my community. I have over 200 hours of volunteer service with various organizations, and I have been awarded the President's Volunteer Service Award on two occasions.
Additionally, I'm an avid fountain pen enthusiast - I appreciate the art of thoughtful communication. You can often find me out and about doing what I love most: talking to people, sharing stories, and building connections.
As I continue on this exciting academic journey, my goal is to leverage my varied experiences to deepen my understanding of journalism and contribute meaningfully to the field. I am eager to cultivate my skills, explore new avenues, and make a lasting impact through ethical and honest storytelling.
